In my travels as a consultant, I sometimes meet with distributors that buy a software package to help manage assets but don't trust it or cannot figure out why the numbers are out of whack. It seems the most common problem occurs when the numbers the system outputs regarding everything from replenishment to finances don't match the distributor's expectations.
